Leadership

Student Leadership 2009-10

If this page does not answer your questions about leadership, please talk to Andy.  Also on the right hand side are links that you may helpful.  These links point you to the current leadership positions/team, as well as the “Student Leadership Training” link will give you insight into what makes for a good student leader.

Qualifications for Student Leadership:

  • Is a Christian, who has a consistent, personal relationship with God.
  • Consistent attendance at youth group and Sunday morning service/class.
  • A good reputation and witness among his/her peers, family, and school friends.
  • Is baptized
  • Has served in the youth group/church in some way before
  • In high school (or will be entering for the year they are applying)

**In the Fall, we will be offering a Leadership Training Sunday School class (which will be merged with our existing CIT program).  This will be open to all students. Although some of you may want to apply for leadership, we encourage you to take the first step of being part of this class in the fall.  You will learn things that will prepare you for the challenges of leadership in the future.

Students who are going to be in 8th grade, we encourage you to:

  • Find a ministry to start serving in and getting some experience being plugged into the youth group.
  • Take the Leadership class in the Fall
  • Learn as much as you can from those opportunities
